(serves 2)
4 slices sourdough bread, sliced 1/2"
peanut butter
1 banana
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 strawberries
2 teaspoons powdered sugar
Chocolate Gravy
1 tablespoon cocoa powdered
2 tablespoon sugar
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Heat skillet to medium heat, and spray with Pam cooking spray.
Slice sourdough bread in 1/2" slices; then add peanut butter to both sides. Top one side with sliced bananas, and fold together. Stir together milk and egg, set to the side.
Dip in egg mixture, and add to skillet. Brown each side. It only takes a couple of minutes to each side.
While your toast is cooking, in small sauce pan, mix together all the chocolate gravy ingredients; except the flour. Whisk all together and put on medium heat. Stir in flour, and stir until thicken.
Lets put it all together now. Place your french toast on the plate, pour chocolate gravy on top. Garnish with 1 teaspoon powdered sugar sprinkled on top and a strawberry.
Elvis loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I loved peanut butter and bananas, for a snack, as a child. Actually, still do. Steve loves anything chocolate. Being our anniversary weekend, I had to create two of our favorites as one.
Today is our 2nd anniversary - WOO HOO! Tomorrow I will have my Robinism's on love and marriage. Everyone has their own thoughts on the subjects, this is just little ole me talking.
Be Sweet and Stay Sweet!
Yum! Yum!
