Grocery List - Week Starting August 13th

Natalie & I  Christmas 2010


My baby girl is home and we are going to be whipping it up in the kitchen.  I hope ya'll can come join us, because it will be a treat! We might be throwing in a few extras that are not on the list, because it's Natalie's long weekend. After she goes home, we'll wrap it up with Dorcas's Summertime Pasta. Trust me, we'll need something lite to eat, at the end of the week.

Grocery List: 

Chicken & Rice: One of Natalie's Favorites
1 cup rice
1 package Lipton onion soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts or 8 to 12 chicken tenders


Stuff Chicken Breast:
1 red pepper – Kroger’s $1.00
1 cup feta cheese
½ onion
4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts –Kroger’s Sanderson Farm $1.87 a lb.
Fresh basil
Cajun seasoning
Olive oil

Family Night Lasagna:
1 pound hamburger meat
1 pound Italian sausage – Kroger’s $3.49
Rotisserie Chicken – Kroger’s $3.99
2 -28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes
Basil
Oregano
Garlic
Small bag of fresh spinach
Ricotta cheese
Lasagna noodles
Mozzarella cheese – Kroger Cheese $1.89
Parmesan cheese
Olive oil

Appetizer Brie Cheese:
1 block brie cheese
apricot jam (you should have some leftover from the crock pot chicken)
1 baguette bread

Enchiladas:
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
Flour tortillas
1 small jar salsa
chili seasoning
cumin seasoning
1 small can green chilies
Velveeta cheese
cream cheese
rotel

Guacamole:
4 avocados
1 tomato
garlic
cumin seasoning
mango
green onion
1 can crab meat
cream cheese
jalapeno pepper
lime


I have to say, Natalie had this avocado, mango & crab dip she's been raving about, we're going to try to recreate it.  So, there might be a few other ingredients.
Tostito Chips – Kroger’s $2.77 a bag  
     
Dorcas's Summertime Pasta:
1 zucchini
1 squash
mini carrots
1 yellow bell pepper
green onions
salami
grape tomatoes
cheddar cheese
orzo pasta
ranch dressing
Italian dressing

Come back tomorrow, because we are going to have some scrumptious eats! Nothing like having your child  home and cooking.
