Chocolate Pecan Pie

Chocolate Pecan Pie
3 large eggs
1 cup lite Karo syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 pie crust

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine eggs, Karo syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla in bowl; mixing together with whisk. Then stir in pecans.

Spread chocolate chips on the pie crust.
Pour mixture over the top, and bake 50 to 55 minutes; or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
The kiddos around my house love this, plus my friend Jamie does to. Serve with fresh whipping cream and YUMMY!

Happy New Year's Eve. Be careful everyone.
Be Sweet and Stay Sweet!

  1. So... I've got about 15 mins left waiting on this pie to come out of the oven. I was cleaning my kitchen and I found the butter in the microwave!! I'm anxious to see what happens with this pie now. Hopefully it will still be good!
THIS is why I'm not a great cook! :) LOL

  2. Well, not sure we could have handled it if this pie is any better w/butter in it! I used dark chocolate chips b/c I'm not a big chocolate fan but I do like dark chocolate - and the pie was great!! Gerald an Jackson were impressed. I never knew how easy it is to make pecan pie. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be making this again.
