Tailgate Recipe Grocery List

It's football and tailgating season. These are easy recipes this week, and you can make three different things out of Momma's Frito Pie. I hope you enjoy.

Momma's Frito Pie:
2 pounds hamburger
1/2 chopped onion
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons oregano
2- 14.5 ounce cans crushed or stewed tomatoes
2- 14.5 ounce cans kidney beans, drained
17 ounces ketcup
1 head of lettuce
Frito chips
1 fresh tomato
3 chopped green onions
shredded cheddar cheese, for the top

Chili Cheese Dip:
You have your leftover Frito pie mixture, 1 cup
8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
14.5 ounce can Rotel
1 tablespoon of cilantro
 
Tailgating Nachos
1.5 pounds hamburger meat
1/2 onion, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
14.5 ounce can re fried beans
1 small can sliced black olives, drained
1 bag tortilla chips
2 cups leftover cheese dip
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tomato, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
4 avocados
1 tomato, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno
4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon garlic
 
Beer Weenies
14 ounce beef smoked sausage
9 ounce Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet Vidalia Onion Barbecue Sauce
1/2 can - 12 ounce beer

 Robin Tailgate Sliders (Serves 10)
1 pound hamburger
2 tablespoons onion, minced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
2 slices hot pepper jack cheese
2 slices cheddar cheese
Miracle Whip
Brown Spicy Mustard
4 sweet pickles, sliced
1 package rolls - I used Sara Lee's
 
Turkey Burgers

1 pound ground turkey
2 green onions
1 - 15 ounces can black beans
1 - 15.25 ounces can whole corn
cumin
chili powder
minced garlic
olive oil
salsa

  1. I'll definitely have to try out your chili cheese dip! I tried making something similar and it didn’t come out the way I wanted. Tailgating is a passion of mine and I would love to try a few recipes out. My parties are always a hit not only because the wonderful food but because I have the Tailgater from DISH Network.   2. Try the Crawfish Cheese Dip - its my favorite one. Your DISH set up sounds really neat. I hope you enjoy your tail-gate food. I have Super Bowl Slidders coming up soon.
